How Can Love Be The Solution When It’s The Problem?

Lately I find myself talking about Love a lot. Ok fine, always!! Love is all we need right? The one thing that took me some time to realize was my misconceptions about what Love is.

I think most people think that Love is an emotion or a feeling. A Noun. Something we can find, have, or keep. I used to. “He loves me because _______” or even better “He doesn’t love me because _______”. We narrow love down to an “it”. Yet “it” can mean something different to everyone.

What I am continuing to come to realize is that the  more experience I have with Love and the more I understand Love, the more exact Love becomes yet the indescribable and undefinable all the same.

One thing I do know for sure now is that Love is and ALWAYS will be Love. There is only ONE Love. Love is NOT different depending on the person. It all comes from one place. Your heart, your soul, your existence. Love knows no boundaries, no comparisons, no conditions, no separation. Although Love knows many expressions, it is all the same Love.

Love is the ONLY thing that is real. Everything else is an illusion. Love is always available, even when we think it’s long gone. When all you can see is pain, Love will sit there patiently waiting for you to return and welcome you with open arms when you do.

The second thing I know for sure is that LOVE DOES NOT HURT, even when you undoubtedly think it does. That is probably the biggest misconception of them all. That loving in the first place is the problem.

If Love hurt, how could it be Love? Love is nothing but itself. Is and ALWAYS will be. If Love does not hurt, then what does? That’s easy. Fear does! But don’t get it twisted… fear may seem like an enemy to love but in reality fear is there to show you where love needs to be. Love sees no enemy, it ONLY sees Love. So where is the Love in fear?

In Robert Holden’s Book, Loveability, he discusses the obsession with “falling in love”. He goes on to tell a story about his five-year old daughter and a boy she liked from school. He mentions that it would be wonderful if “children were introduced to their own eternal loveliness before they started obsessing about falling in love”.

He states that:

“The early obsession with falling love is a sign that we have already started to doubt our own Loveability. By falling in love with someone, we hope we will remember how loveable we are. We hope someone will catch our fall, in the fall from grace, and thereby save us from the basic fear that ‘I am not loveable’. Much of the desire to fall in love is about being loved rather than being loving.”

He then goes on to quote  J. Krishnamurti.  “You want to be loved because you do not love; but the moment you love, it is finished, you are no longer inquiring whether or not somebody loves you”.

One concept that I am exceptionally fond of, is the concept that we have two basic choices in life. A choice between Love and fear. Although expressed in thousands of ways, there is only one love and there is only one fear. “Love is the mind of the real Self, and fear is the mind of your self-image or ego.”  We are constantly choosing between Love and Fear. Worthy and unworthy. Loveable and Unloveable. Whichever you choose to identify with, is the one that you give power. If Love is the only thing that is real, then the idea that you can be unloveable is not real. LOVE IS YOUR EXISTENCE. If your source were not that of Love, you would not be here.

The fear that you are unloveable is the extension to all other fears. It’s the fear the hurts. Not Love. Love is what heals!

In Holden’s chapter “Love and Fear” he states that:

“Love brings up everything unlike itself for the purpose of healing. Love and fear have the opposite effect on you. The principle effect of fear is that it prevents you from seeing where love is present, whereas love helps you to see where you are afraid. Love makes you conscious. It switches a light on in your mind. This light brings everything into view… Love does not judge, so nothing is hidden. Love does not condemn, so there is no deception. Love does not censure, so all is revealed. Love exposes the fears you identify with, the secret shame you haven’t forgiven, the old wounds not yet released, and every other unloving thought that blocks the awareness of love’s prescence… Love shows you what you think of yourself and also how you relate to yourself. Love and fear cannot co-exist…Love brings fear into full view so that you can see if there is a message for you, a lesson for you, or even a gift for you. This is how Love heals fear. This is how love helps you to be fully present, undefended, and open to your life. Love brings up everything unlike itself so that you can let go of fear and be the loving person that you are.”

Love is the energy that runs ALL things. Underneath anger is Love. Underneath sadness is love. Underneath control is Love. Underneath judgement is love. If Love did not exist there, we simply would not care. Love is never really the problem though… Love is the solution that lies UNDER the problem. Love is who you ARE! .The problem is simply not knowing your own Loveability.

So when you find yourself angry, sad, controlling, or judgmental…. ask yourself where you need healing and just apply a little love. Remember you are loveable. Remember your existence. Turn off the fear and Turn on the LOVE! Your wound will begin to heal.

Cherish the Season

Good Afternoon,
I hope Everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. I feel like I’ve been slammed since October. The days seem to fly by after Halloween with all the holidays one after another.

I know holidays can be a very “testing” time of the year considering your family are the ones that can tend to test you the most, but hopefully everyone has been able to see the magic that can occur during this time of year as well. The laughter, the warmth, the giving and the gratitude.

If you haven’t noticed I have been M.I.A. for the last couple of weeks. And no that does not mean in Miami. I wish! Like said with the holidays and preparing for those I have also been working on my final for school which seems to be pretty time-consuming. I have school again next weekend so I will be working the rest of this week and next week making sure it’s completed in time. So please forgive me if I have a hard time posting during this next week and a half. I’ve felt busy out of my mind. But I will try my best not to let so much space happen again.

I do want to update you briefly on some things that have happened within the last month. First off, something I never shared with everyone was that:

I AM PREGNANT WITH BABY #2. 6 months to be exact. I was waiting for a good time t o share the news and then little by little it was getting overshadowed by other stuff I wanted to share. I recently had a gender reveal party Nov 30th and found out with some good friends and family that we are having another baby BOY!!! yay so exciting. My son is over the moon with joy for his new baby brother. I can’t wait to see their bond grow. I can’t believe I have held out on you guys for so long!

Next, last week I officially made my first vision board. That was very fun. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get to it. I attempted one about 6 years ago and I cut pictures out to use and then never made the real board. Since then it’s just been something that I have procrastinated on. I attend these meetings once a month with some good friends where we get together and talk about Manifesting and our experiences as well as what we want to manifest for the future. This last meeting we decided to have a vision board party (something we had wanted to do before the meeting were ever in progress) so we all brought over boards, magazines, glue, scissors, and got to work. It was fun!!! It’s a good way to visualize and get ready for the New Year! Below is a picture of my vision board. I share it with you to further put it out into the universe.

The other awesome thing I have waited to start a cool journal I got back in April called “One Good Deed A Day”. It’s a journal filled with 365 good deeds to complete. I thought about starting it back in April when I got it but seemed like a good thing to start at the beginning of the new year. I got it from my favorite store, Handmade but have recently seen them in Barnes and Noble. So if you are interested in starting it with me, go grab one before the New Year. You can pick any deed you want to complete on any day and you write the date at the top and then you have a short space below to write your thoughts or notes about your deed that day. I have decided this is going to take some planning ahead of time to make sure I can complete the deeds every day so I going to try to plan my deeds weekly. I will share on here on Sundays if any  of you want to follow along.

Aside from everything above, I am currently in the Bay Area visiting my mother for the next week. Such a great time to have this time off from work so I can dedicate some more time to finishing up my final for school. I wanted to mention a random coincidence, or manifestation as I’d like to call it.

So I’ve felt a little stressed recently about my final. For part of the final we have to find quotes from the 4 books we had to read this last few months. We have to find a total of 10 quotes total from each book that are specific to some of the Themes/Principles/Skills we will be writing about. So 2 of the 4 books I ended up getting on a Kindle App on my phone because I couldn’t seem to find the books anywhere in the bookstore. It’s been a little difficult when it comes to reading because it’s on my phone which the small screen can make it a little more difficult. Searching back through the books has been even more difficult because I have to scroll through the pages pretty much one by one to search because in a physical book it’s a lot easier to flip through the pages.

One of the books I am having a problem with is 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. Well I was just talking to my friend the other day about how I was starting to get stressed because of this issue and really wondering how I am going to be able to find relatable quotes without it being too time consuming. This morning, something crazy happened. I awoke in my old room at my mom’s house and in front of me is this bookshelf. I was still lying down and happened to be staring at the book shelf. I see book, something was in front of it, so all I see is the number 7 on the spine. In my head I was thinking “No effin way”. I get up and pull the book out and its 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I go into my mom’s room and ask her about it and she doesn’t even remember she had it. She said she thinks she had to read it for work a long time ago. I was so amazed because now I have at least 3 of the 4 PHYSICAL books I need for my final and finding these quotes. Finding this book just made my life a tad more easy when it comes to completing this final.

The Statement That Will Give You Chills

So the other day we went over Affirmations and I introduced steps on how you can create a heart centered Affirmation. I am reading this book “Wishes Fulfilled” by Dr. Wayne Dyer for school and in the beginning of the book he talks about thoughts and how powerful they can be. He says that if we truly want to transform we have to change our thoughts. I just quickly want to share a VERY powerful Affirmation that he shares in the book that literally makes the hair on my arms stick straight up when I read it. Although the format does not coincide with the ones I shared last week, you can still see how there are many types of possible Affirmations that can work for you. The main point is that it is a very powerful statement that is present tense and motivates you to think and create strong feelings around what you want from life or a situation.

I have a burning desire – an inner flame that will not be exstinguished by outer forces – to know and live from higher regions, to be transformed so that my new concept of myself will no longer include any limitation. I am willing to challenge and change my thoughts and impede my having a higher vision of myself

The reason I love this Affirmation so much is I feel it is one that everyone can connect with. When you are on your path of transformation, you will find that it’s not easy to just change overnight. Your whole life, however long that has been, has led you to think and believe the things you do. Although you may now know certain things are not working for you, up until now, it was working for you in someway. So you will see that it can be very easy, automatic, and comfortable to go back to the ways you have been used to for so long. You can probably already attest to being triggered and tested over and over again. Guess what? you won’t always pass but guess what else… it’s ok!!!

This Affirmation allows you to become present to the fact that outer forces will always be present. There are things that will try to extinguish your flame but you will no longer allow those things, people, or situations to limit you. You will no longer let your current beliefs and thoughts limit you. You are open and willing to challenge YOURSELF when old ways creep in and then guess what…. eventually you will start passing the tests. Over and over again!!! This affirmations brings alive in you the being you know already exists underneath all those old patterns and limiting beliefs and allows you to mindfully bring forth this idea and attitude when triggers and tests arrive.

If you are having a trouble coming up with an affirmation of your own, find one online or in a book that makes you excited. This one is definitely a good start. And remember, it takes consistency to create new ideas and pathways of thinking, so put your affirmation somewhere you will see it daily, even a few different places so you can see it throughout the day, that way you can truly transform yourself with it’s new ideas.

10 Random Ways To Celebrate The Present Moment

348641I have this little book that sits on my coffee table in the front room. It’s called “HOW NOW: 100 Ways To Celebrate The Present Moment” by: Raphael Cushnir. Aside from the title reminding me of the movie Anchor Man,(Howwww Nowww Browwwn Cowww), with everyday hustle and bustle, planning for the future, reminiscing the past, we can forget the most important moment…NOW!

Without enjoying NOW, does anything else really matter? We get so stuck in routine, our minds constantly going from here to there, that even learning HOW to enjoy NOW can be a great task. In this book are simple things to do that will give you a sense of presence in the present moment.

I won’t share all 100 ways, but I opened the book randomly to ten different tasks. Here’s HOW:

10 Random Ways To Celebrate The Present Moment

1. NIGHT SKY There’s an aspect of being that comes out only at night, when we’re able to place our usually overwhelming human dramas in the context of the infinite universe.

The Practice:

Choose a clear, starry night and an hour when most of the world is fast asleep. Make sure you’re warm and comfortable as you lie on your back and watch the dark sky shimmer and twinkle. Use this practice to contemplate the enormity of existence and the eons of time that have passed and are yet to come. From the vantage point of this truly universal perspective, what does the present moment feel like? How does this moment inform or enlighten the ones in your everyday schedule?

2. SHARE A HARD TRUTH Telling the truth when we feel vulnerable is one of the hardest things to do. We might fear rejection, abandonment, disapproval, disappointment, rage, hurt, or just the raw exposure that’s an unavoidable part of the process. Yet almost every time we are willing to tell a hard truth, we grow and deepen in the presence, no matter the response. The energy we previously locked up to maintain a false front is now freed to uplift and enlighten us.

The Practice:

Think about various people in your life – family, friends, coworkers, and community members. In what relationship have you been bottling up a hard truth? This truth may be about something you’re feeling or not feeling, or about a part of the relationship that isn’t working for you. Look at the list of fears in the first paragraph. Are you holding back due to one or more of those fears? Are you willing to experience that fear and still tell your hard truth? If so, pick a time and place where both you and the other person have the best chance of hearing each other without blame or recrimination. Once it’s all over and the dust has settled, notice whether you feel lighter.

3. BE PASSIONATELY AVERAGE – Striving for excellence is how we change, grow, and reach our full potential. But since we can’t excel at everything, it’s also how we become self-critical and perfectionistic. Urging ourselves toward unreachable perfection robs us of the ease and spontaneity that are the hallmarks of the NOW. But exulting in activities we enjoy, with no intention of great achievement, is a foolproof perfectionist cure.

The Practice:

Are there pursuits you enjoy but can’t do well? Or ones that you think you’d enjoy but avoid due to lack of aptitude? Pick one or two and pursue them with complete gusto. Perhaps that means salsa dancing with two left feet, bowling a record setting series of gutter balls, knitting sweaters with lopsided patterns. Whatever the pursuit, perform with the intention of celebrating your mediocrity rather than cringing at it. If and when a cringe does occur, laugh yourself through it and keep going. If possible judgement by others makes the practice too daunting, do it with a friend who is willing to be just as goofy.

4. PLANT SOMETHING – In every moment there is a birth, growth, decline, and death. This cycle plays out on levels from the molecular to the universal. Within a human life, it transpires physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Shepherding this cycle  for another life form helps us attune ourselves to its constant presence.

The Practice:

Purchase a packet of seeds for a plant you’d like  to grow. Choose a plant that’s either annual or perennial so you can experience all aspects of it’s life cycles within the passage of a few seasons. Follow the directions for planting and tending it. View the plant for at least a minute once or twice a week. If the plant survives, watch it for times of steady progression, plateaus, and sudden spurts of growth. If the plant doesn’t make it, try to determine what’s responsible for its demise. Then plant another seed and so your best to help it thrive.

5. BEGIN – In the trance of habit and daily routine, it’s easy to miss the miracle of existence that is continually unfolding. One way to reconnect to that miracle is to consciously bring new projects and activities into your life. Whether tiny or grand, every venture you begin provides a fresh invitation to savor the NOW.

The Practice:

Make a list of some endeavors that you’d like to begin. This list can include an array of choices, such as a  new friendship, an herb garden, a dance class, a journal, a book you’ve always wanted to read, or a more honest way of communicating. Your selection can also be internally oriented such as paying more attention to what you feel or focusing on what brings you joy. Next, scan the list for something you can begin RIGHT NOW. Do so, and allow yourself to bask in it’s birth. Then keep the list nearby and make frequent beginnings an ongoing part of your life. Refresh the list often as you grow and change.

6.INTENTIONAL DREAMING – Dreams usually provide more question then they do answers. Are they a stress response? A secret code? A window to another world? There’s one way, frequently unacknowledged, to penetrate the puzzle. Through the process of intentional dreaming, we can bring our conscious and unconscious minds together. The result creates not only an expansive sense of presence, but also powerful inner guidance.

The Practice:

For one week, keep a notebook by your bed. Each night, before going to sleep, think about an aspect of your life in which you’d like some guidance. Then ask your unconscious to provide you with a dream about that topic, and make it one that you’ll remember. If you wake up from a dream in the middle of the night, write it down before returning to sleep. If you recall it in the morning, make sure you write is down before beginning your day.

7. SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY – The usual pitch, when it comes to volunteering, is that it’s appropriate to give something back. We’re called upon to serve as a fundamental responsibility. What this pitch obscures is that service is actually a privilege. Whether in a soup kitchen, battered women’s shelter, or Little League, service opens our hearts, connects us to the world, and fills the present moment with meaning. While service often provides great assistance to those in need, it foremost beneficiary is almost always the ones who serve.

The Practice:

Find a few hours a week for service. Choose a location or organization that you feel strongly about. Look for a position that takes advantage of your strengths or one that involves a refreshing change of pace from your usual work. Since the opportunity to make a contribution is a privilege, treat everyone you meet with appreciation.

8. INNER SMILE – Feeling joyful is not necessary for presence, but it’s one of the most powerful ways to induce it. Joy creates an almost instantaneous  sense of expansion – an inner smile that’s like a warm bath. Some call this warm bath “flow” or “spirit”. Experiencing it connects us to ourselves and to everyone and everything around us.

The Practice:

Think about someone or something that you love. This could be a child, a place in nature, or a favorite memory. Whatever you choose, make sure that just reflecting upon it creates an automatic smile. Then surrender to that inner smile. Let it light you up. Feel it spread through your body and even beyond it, uniting you joyously with your surroundings.

9. CONSCIOUS EATING – How many times have you craved one of your favorite foods, waited all day till you could have it, and then experienced no real enjoyment because your mind  began wandering even before the first bite? Such “absent eating” is the norm, but it doesn’t have to be

The Practice:

For a week, stay entirely focused on the experience of eating through at least part of each meal. This includes smelling, tasting, savoring, chewing, swallowing, and pausing between bites. When your mind drifts, as it inevitably will, avoid any self-criticism and just gently return your focus to the food in front of you.

10. BESTOW GRATITUDE – In the words of William Blake, “Gratitude is heaven in itself”. Just the experience of feeling grateful can connect us to a level of loving presence that’s as warm an d soothing as its profound. But the bestowing of gratitude is even ore heavenly. It creates a feedback loop of joy as long as you let it.

The Practice:

Think of one or more people for whom you’re deeply grateful. Be specific about why tehy inspire your gratitude. Once you’vev allowed yourself to exult in that gratitude, go ahead and share it. Don’t ask for anything in return from those you thank, except that they receive your offering.

Learn The Risk That Is Always Worth Taking

badge-DaringGreatly-165x165[1]So it’s kind of funny… My very last post was about how I was starting over with reading The Power of Intention by: Dr Wayne Dyer. Well within the last week I had had a couple of conversation with a few friends, some about me and what I’m going through, some about them and their journeys. One of the words that kept coming up quite often was VULNERABILITY. Either me telling someone they needed to be more vulnerable and express themselves OR someone telling me I need to be more vulnerable and express myself.

SoOoOoooo I decided instead of reading The Power of Intention now I was going to pick a book about vulnerability. I had heard about the book Power the Vulnerability recently and was thinking if it was anything as intense as Power of Intention that it was something I needed. As I kept telling my friend that I wanted that book, she kept mentioning Daring Greatly.

I was convinced I was going to get the book I wanted, so I went on Amazon and searched. All I could find was the audio version though. Being that I love actual books, reading them, smelling them, holding them, turning the pages, tuning into them… an audio version just wasn’t going to cut it. Well as I am looking, one of the other books that was showing up was….wait for it….. DARING GREATLY. How’d ya guess? I searched a couple more times for a book version of Power on Vulnerability, thinking maybe I just wasn’t looking hard enough but every page I went on all  I noticed was the colorful cover of Daring Greatly. Soooo I decided to go for it. All of a sudden I realized BOTH books were by the same author anyhow. Now I really may as well!

The need to be vulnerable is a commonality with most people I talk to as well as what I know I need to practice the most. Here’s the problem, being afraid to be vulnerable is also the commonality. Let’s look at the definition of Vulnerable:

capable of being physically or emotionally wounded or hurt

open to temptation, persuasion, censure, etc

3.

liable or exposed to disease, disaster, etc

Let’s look at that very first definition. “Capable of being physically or emotionally wounded or hurt”. Well no wonder why we are all so afraid. We spend a hell of a lot of energy trying to avoid being wounded or hurt, by all means necessary, so why would we intentionally put our guards down?

Why? Because our SELF depends on it, that’s WHY. Who we truly are lies in our vulnerability. We can not fully come to be ourselves if we can not be vulnerable. Part of being vulnerable is being Authentic. According to the dictionary, being authentic means “not false or copied, genuine, real”. When you are being authentic you are being yourself. NOT FALSE OR COPIED, GENUINE, REAL! That’s sharing yourself and your feelings even if in that moment its hurt, anger, or sadness. So why is being authentic vulnerable? Because we have the opportunity to feel rejected. Feeling rejected sucks! So we avoid that feeling.

Just think about it now…. what kinds of things do we do to avoid being hurt? We lie, we pretend, we hide, we blame, we stay quiet. Not one of those things leads us into being who we really are. None of those things are genuine and real. What’s ironic is all of those things end up doing nothing but eventually hurt us anyways.

I have a hard time being vulnerable particularly because I am strongly attached to the myth that vulnerability shows weakness. Putting your guard down is weak. It does nothing but leaves you open to be killed. We are taught that we have to fight and killing those that have their guards down equals power. The thing is being vulnerable is one of the hardest things we can do. Therefore truth is, it’s a strength right? The greatest power doesn’t come from killing the most people, the greatest power comes from connecting with most people. Think of some of the most powerful leaders. They were powerful because they connected with the masses. And guess what? We connect the most with those whom are authentic and vulnerable. Why? because inside we are all dying to be vulnerable, we are all dying to be our true selves and we can see the strength it takes when someone else shows us it’s possible. That when you let your guard down you get rewarded ten times more. Now THAT’s power.

I’ve stated in this blog over and over how I need to be more vulnerable. How I want to share more. This need isn’t only for my blog, it’s to improve my life in all areas. I need to be more vulnerable in my relationships, my career, my parenting….everything! And as much as I knew what it took to be vulnerable, there are things that still make me afraid. So I am willing to open up into learning more and doing what I can to educate myself about it.  I am fully at that point in my life where my purpose is in turbo speed. I feel as though nothing can stop me. Not even the risk it takes of getting hurt. That is how you know you are on the right path. Because even if you don’t know where the journey is gonna take you, you know you need to continue and nothing can get in your way. This is about taking a stand for WHO I AM!

Pain only makes us even stronger anyways right. Think about it, those who turn away from us or hurt us while our guard is down aren’t the people worth having in our lives. This means they aren’t ready to accept us for who we truly are. In the end, we all want to be accepted right. The only way to know that is to first accept ourselves without rejection and second TAKE THE RISK!

I know I am meant to make a difference in this world and I can’t do that without strengthening the thing that will give me that power of connection. Vulnerability! The risk ALWAYS worth taking.

A Person Of Intention

A couple of years ago I started reading the “Power of Intention” by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I got maybe a little less than half way through and then never really finished it…yea yea I already admitted how bad I am at that. Well I have been very interested in finishing so I actually decided to start it all over from the beginning again. My brain can be mush sometimes, so although I remember a lot of it, its nice to be refreshed.

In the beginning of the book he actually suggest the reader read the last chapter first to get an idea of how the book can effect you if you apply the ideas. The last chapter is called “A Portrait of a Person Connected to the Field of Intention”. It’s a little long but as I was reading it I was underlining some parts that were important to me and after reading I found this chapter to be very inspiring and like to think of it as a guide for the type of person I strive towards being more like. Which in essence is what I believe to be part of our TRUE selves anyways, it’s just covered up with a bunch of fear. So I guess it’s a guide into teaching ME to how to become more ME. You can not seek that of which you already are right?

First off though I wanted to share how Dr. Dyer defines the word Intention. It can mean different things to different people so it’d be nice to have a common meaning so you know how to relate it to this portrait. He started by saying through his research Intention was defined as “strong purpose or aim, accompanied by a determination to produce a desired result”. People with strong intentions have “a never-give up attitude combined with an internal picture that propels you towards fulfilling your dreams”. I dunno about you, but for me this sounds pretty damn on point with exactly how I defined “intention” for myself. For a textbook definition it sounds great but how about thinking about intention on a soulful  level.

Carlos Castaneda said:

“Intent is a force that exists in the universe. When sorcerers (those who live of the Source) beckon intent, it comes to them and sets up the path for attainment, which means that sorcerers always accomplish what they set out to do”

After reading this quote in a book, Dr Dyer started to think of intent on a whole other plane. What if intention is a force that exists in the universe as an invisible energy field? It’s not something you DO but something that IS. He goes on to explain that intention is something that  exists in everything and has always been there even before we were conceived. It’s what intended us to be born. I know this dude gets deep right?!

But he believes that “Intention is a field of energy that flows invisibly beyond the reach of our normal everyday habitual patterns…We have the means to attract this energy to us and experience life in an exciting new way“.

So basically how I am understanding, as I have talked about before, we are creatures of habit! Half the things we do, the way we conceptualize, the meaning we put to things, our perceptions…are typically built and based off of habit. But what if we started to Intend things to happen. How could life be different? What could we create? This thought changes us from being a person of which things just happen to, to a person whom CREATES what happens to them. When we can reach BEYOND our normal everyday habits , we become CREATORS!

So here are some key ideas I took from the last chapter in “Power of Intention” By Dr. Wayne Dyer. As you read, simply imagine what it would be like to be this person that is described. How would your life be different?

*Spend a few moments in conversation with people who are connected to the power of intention and you see how unique they are.

*It is impossible to get them to be pessimistic about achieving what they desire.

*They don’t say, With my luck things won’t work out, but instead, I intend to create this and I know it will work out. 

*They don’t relate to concepts of failure or it’s impossible.

*To a connector there are simply no accidents. Seemingly insignificant events are being orchestrated in perfect harmony. They aren’t surprised when the money to finance a project they’ve been intending mysteriously shows up.

*They know better than to place a lot of energy on arguing or being frustrated, because that attracts argumentation and frustration into their lives.

*They know in their heart that somewhere an opportunity exists in the setback, and that is what they look for in everything that shows up in their life.

*Rather then asking for something, because that seems to give power to what’s missing, they commune in a state of reverent gratitude for all that is present in their lives, knowing that this empowers their intention to manifest precisely what they need.

*They have a consciousness of oneness…it is all WE. All of us emanate from the same divine energy. They don’t separate themselves spiritually.

*They don’t brag about their good fortune but are in a perpetual state of gratitude and radical humility.

* They have trained their thoughts to move at the levels of higher vibrations and are able to deflect lower/slower vibrations

*Their peacefulness causes others to feel calm and assured.

*They are not interested in winning arguments or accumulating  allies.

*Rather than trying to persuade you to think like they do, they’re convincing through the energy they exude. 

*Connectors tell you without hesitation that they choose to feel good regardless of what’s going on around them or how others might judge them.

*They know that feeling bad is a choice and it isn’t useful for correcting unpleasant situations.

*If they feel bad in any way, they use that as an indicator that its time to change their energy level.

*They don’t allow their well-being to be contingent on anything external to themselves – not the weather, wars, political landscape, economy, and certainly not anyone else decision to be low energy.

*They think from the end. They can see what they intend to manifest as if it has already materialized. It’s so real in their thoughts that its reality.

*They have a noticeable absence of judgement towards others.

*Their power is the fact that they uplift others with their presence.

*They are never offended because their ego isn’t involved in their opinions.

*They have no need to fit in or to do things the way others expect them to.

*Whatever life sends them, they say Thank you. What can I learn and how can I grow from what I am receiving?

*This always-expanding attitude is what ultimately opens up their life to receiving all that the Source is willing to provide

These are simply small notes I underlined while reading. I suggest if you want to read the entire description, my notes give no justice, then pick up the book and check it out.

Now maybe it’s challenging to be perfectly connected ALL the time, maybe we’re not supposed to be, but doesn’t this sound like a good guideline? What would you begin to create, KNOWING that it would come? What would you let go of,  KNOWING that whatever comes your way (or leaves your way) is to create the bigger picture for you?
